Well! I've done a whack of reloading over the last 3 days. Now before any of my fellow reloaders look at this, scratch their heads, and mutter "WTF?", let me explain. Several of the boxes are proven loads that perform wonderfully out of my .308 Ruger and my 7.62X39 Howa. I also load for my hunting buddy so some of the boxed ammo is for him. All the rounds in the MTM cases are for trials. I was lucky enough to buy some IMR 4064 which is a powder that my rifles love, as well as a very good deal on some projectiles so I had to load up a bunch of trial loads. Why (you ask) if you have a proven load do you have to make up so many more? In having several proven loads I ensure that should components become scarce or obsolete for a favourite load, I have loads that I can turn to as alternatives. Also, I'm a picky old SOB. Personally, I like to shoot sub MOA groups for the simple reason that, being an old fart, if I miss my deer I know it's me not the rifle or the ammo. My last reason? I really enjoy the whole process and precision of reloading. Comments, pro or con, are welcome.
