OK, so I prefer to try to figure things out on my own first, so I just got back from a whirlwind tour of the new "SAIL" store in Vaughan...then took a spin up the road to the Bass Pro Shops store. I could go into ALL the details, but bottom line is this~I simply could NOT find a cap for the front/objective end of the scope that fit. Their sizing went from #43 (way tighter than any BC cap has ever fit my scopes) to the next size #46 which was way TOO big.
I looked around online, including on BC's site, and the following is what I've found;
1. BC seem to make sizes in between, but their sizing chart is little tough to figure-out (maybe just in my frustrated frame of mind
)
2. Read on a forum that you have to use the #43 and soak it in hot water to make it fit. (????)
3. Midway USA's site recommends a #44 when you look at the TRS-1 scope on their site, but neither store I visited even had that size.
Am I nuts? (nutz
) If you have one of these scopes and know what the right size is, or are a Millett/Butler Creek dealer and can check the fit on an actual scope and sell me a scope cap, I'd be VERY grateful.
Thanks a ton,
Rob
