I have 4 Butler Creek 25/22 mags (banana mags) that don't feed properly. They're the ones with plastic followers and feed ramps.

Anyone know how I could fix them?

I had FTF and FTE problems with mine as well. Some guy at the range mentioned they take a little breaking in before working 100%.

Don't know how legit he was, but he had six of em so I assume he knew.

He said just don't load more than 10-15 rounds for the first little while.

I went out a couple weeks ago with no issues at all, fully loaded. I have probably shot about 600-1000 rounds through this magazine, so that might be a good start.

I still had the occasional jam when really going fast, but it only happened 3 or 4 times ( out of 400 or so rounds)

hold the release handle in when loading them for a while then after a while I could just stick them in and they work find took like 3 rounds through them... also try holding onto the mak pushin up alittle on it fixs feed issues.. also dont use windchester lead hollow poitns... they fail so bad in those mags.. went through a box of 500 was painfully slow..

First, i grind the ramp area that is in the sticky on polishing.
Next, i add a SMALL amount of RG96 lube to the spring.
Then, i charge the mag. with 20 rounds for a few days/weeks.
You shouldn't have a problem after this.
(i think the big issue here is charging them to loosen the tension on the spring).

The spring is typically the problem. I would shoot them a bunch, then look for odd wear on the magazine feed lips. If there is odd wear marks, you might want to file that area a little. That helps.

I have 4 of the plastic lip BC mags. Mine fed ok from the get go. I have one I just ditched, after about 15000 rnds it started to become unreliable....... the plastic is REALLY showing wear..... I also have 3 with the steel lips.... they function flawlessly.... I am really starting to get back into the factory 10rndrs tho, at least when I am out for gophers, at the range its 25's all the way!
