Hey I appologize now if this has been asked. But I just got 2 of the Butler creek 25rd Mags with steel lips. But I'm having an issue on about the first 5 rounds out that the spring isnt pulling the rounds up. This is obviously causing jams. After about 5 rds it stops happening. I was at the range and another guy was having the same issue as me. Anyone know of solutions to this problem?? Other than just using it as a 20rn Mag.

Owning several of the same magazine, I can tell you that they do need to be worked in before they become reliable. Just keep cycling them and they will most likely function perfectly after a few hundred rounds.

Alright awesome!!! I am going out tomorrow and should be putting well over 100 rounds through them so we will see how they work then. Thanks for the quick response too!!!

Wow..that sucks...I've got the same mags (5...smoke steel lips) and just ran through hundreds of rounds without the issue you describe. I did notice the lips and feed ramp getting dirty but just gave them a quick wipe. In case it matters I was using mostly Wildcat but also some old stuff left over from my father-in-law (quite a mix match of stuff).

Well I just got back from shooting now. And It does look like Rugerfan hit the nail on the head. Ran 300-500 through each of my mags and now they seem to be working a lot more reliably. Thanks for the help.
