Has anyone had an issue with the steel lips mags not letting the bolt close? The bottom of the bolt is hanging up on the top of the steel of the mag. Can I just file this down??

The two I used yesterday in a friends gun jammed continually.Garbage IMO..........I had a Ramline if I remember correctly that was all plastic and fed everything flawlessly even yellowjackets!Harold

But aren't lots of people happily using these BCreek mags in 10/22's?

I packed the opening of the mag with a bit of kleenex and lightly filed down the 90* angle into a bit more of a rounded edge. This helped a lot, rather then the bolt hitting a 90* corner it was going up a smooth edge, I will post pics soon.

I was till i loaded a mag up and tried to chamber a round.
Bolt wouldn't close.
Unloaded and reloaded the magazine.
Tried again, same result. Bolt wouldn't close.
I was being 'gentle' with it.
So I pulled the bolt back and let it fly forward on it's own.
*BANG!*
The round was stuck in the mag, bolt hit the rim, and set off the round.
Gun was in a safe direction and my hand wasn't in the way, so no harm done.
Magazine and rifle didn't seem damaged either. But still...

Bought some tactical inc magazines later that week/month and I think I gave cyclone the magazine with a couple other things I sold to him.

Brutal. Well Ill try filing it a bit then to see if that helps. I like how butler creek only has phone numbers for contacts on their website. I usually like to email first, specially since work doesnt like me talking about fire arms over the phone!!
