Good evening,
I got this beautiful A5 from Europe it is either a 1914 or 1918 all the componants have the same serial infortunatly the buttplate is failling apart. By any chance, does anyone have one or know were I can fin one? Thank you
From bottom going up 1904-1914(18)-1938-1999 final tribute
I'm sorry, I can't help you...but I have to say, that's a beaut....I hope you find what you're looking for.
Post more pics...we love that here, ya know
Hard to say, more likely yes. I am contempleting to refinish with polymerized oil. Into the Vanderlinden book they mention that the early production of auto 5 was offer oiled, but I can't find when the varnish became available and standart for those shotgun. I have now six straight grip and I badly need parts for them. If any of you have any componants (and early auto-5 or Remington 11) for sale especially original buttplate as seen in the below picture. Those are hard plastic not horn and was used from 1903 to 1909 then they adopted the FN logo art nouveau style in horn like the top one, which I am looking for as well. Thank you for your help
