Hi Everyone

Has anyone purchased a leupold scope off the Bass pro website. I was just talking to a representative on the live chat section of Bass pro site and he confirmed they will ship a VX3 8.5x25.50mm scope to canada with no restrictions. With a 300 dollar price difference from a dealer sponsor on this site I think it would be a good deal. They must be shipping the scope from a canadian warehouse. What do you think?

Thanks

I know there is a store in Vaughn, Ontario (just North of Toronto) at Vaughn Mills Mall, but the website seems only American. Wish they had a dedicated Canadian website like Cabels'a.

I actually just called them. Apparently they just opened another store out West... As for a Canadian online store, that is unfortunately a couple of years away.

You can buy from the US site with US prices but with the canadian dollar practically at par we wouldnt really need a canadian site.

I am about to buy a scope and saw your post and checked out the Calgary stores website. The online ordering goes threw the US so I checked the live chat to double check that they would ship to Canada and I was told that "no- optics are restricted and will not ship to Canada".

I think I would get something in writing from them that they will ship to Canada b4 I ordered in case us customs decides otherwise.

The live agent asked for the item number of the scope and he checked and said there were not shipping restrictions to Canada. Dont know how I would get it in writing unless I save a copy of the screen print of the live chat.

sounds like 2 different agents telling us 2 different things. If you feel comfortable ordering good luck and i hope it comes thru. Let us know.

Get it shipped USPS..by FAR the cheapest where brokerage fees are concerned. UPS the worst, their fees will almost make the purchase cost prohibitive.

ordered a RCBS reloading kit from Bass Pro shop with no problems shipping to Canada Cabelas on the other hand would not ship as they said it was restricted. Unless you need it in a hurry have it sent US Postal service it is way cheaper. Check Wholesale Sports web site they might be close and save you the duty

Cabelas probably wouldn't ship for another reason because they want you to order from their Canadian cabelas site and pay more for the same product other the dollar is almost at par.
