Buying 10/22 parts - CheapGunParts

Anyone have good or bad reviews about ordering from CheapGunParts?

I ordered from Bob (Martin) once.
It wasn't a very good experience....
Order was shipped late, arrived missing a part, packaged poorly etc. etc.
Their not high on my list to re-order from again real soon. (and I found them to be a bit expensive too!)

Well, I saw the site mention on here and thought I'd order. Problem is I've been bitten on the second try and thought people should be aware.

My first order was going well with the shipping and tracking details so I made a second order. First order only took about three weeks to get to me.

Second order: I received an email that a part was backordered and was offered some options. I could have canceled the order or wait. I decided to wait as the part was expected the second week of April. I wasn't charged according to my CC statement. After the second week of April I sent an email inquiring about status and received an electronic shipping notice a few days later on April 23rd (just over a month after my order). That's it, just a notice that the shipment was entered to USPS and there's been no tracking scans.

Sure, CheapGunParts says they aren't responsible for lost or seized orders, but the tracking doesn't even show the order reaching any scan points!

Think there will be any problems requesting a credit card chargeback?

Sounds somewhat like your going down the same road I did.
As soon as you ask for a charge back, they'll send you a copy of there "international shipping rules" and highlight "We will not be responsible for items shipped internationally and either lost in shipment or seized by customs"
Good luck! :)

Going straight to the credit card company. There's no proof I've been shipped anything. I haven't checked yet about whether I've been charged for the April 23rd "shipment".

USPS Postal Inspections is an option too here to investigate fraud once USPS is used. If Bob gets slammed for shipping gun parts then he shouldn't be taking orders and charging people in the first place.

PS. I'm still waiting for responses to emails since Sunday.

It probably doesn't help much now, but the good folks at Rimfire Sports & Custom http://www.rimfiresports.com/merchant.mv are my preferred source of 10/22 parts. They ship promptly and accurately, and the purchase price includes shipping to BOTH the US and Canada. And, should you ever need to contact them, they do respond to emails. Just my $0.02.

Did you get a resolution?

My experience exactly. I've ordered a number of things from them and have been totally satisfied. Also, with the dollar at nearly par and shipping included some things cost less than buying locally (assuming you can even find the items locally.)

To date nothing has arrived and no answers to emails. "Tracking" still only shows the source electronic submission of the shipping.

I would warn everyone away from dealing with this business.
