Buying a GSG 1911 tomorrow... need your help

I think you should forget about that ancient 1911 garbage and get yourself a glock.

Glocks are so ugly. Function over beauty. With a 1911, you get both. There is a reason why so many people love them, a great design that works.

Looking to get a GSG soon myself. Only reason I can see to get the rail is the clip on scope mount if you like shooting with optics but don't want to go the whole 9 yards and drill and tap a frame mount.

Spend the difference in $$ on ammo - can't imagine what you need the rail for and the "faux suppressor" is a joke!!!!! And yes I know most things worth knowing about 1911's. IMO its an amazing gun - especially for a "first pistol" if anyone has plans for moving on up to the heavier recoil of the regular 1911. Sorry to "P on anyone's parade" but despite the fact I bought one with rail/suppressor (only because that was the only one left) I WOULD NOT TRADE IT FOR MY WALTHER PP .22!!!!!

I went for the rail and fake can, cause it was only $30 more, can always take them off. The can actually makes it louder, it is kind of funny.
