Been looking around on Google and can't find any Canadian distributors for a Kydex reinforced gun belt. So far I'm looking to order one from comp-tac, but the shipping alone is 1/2 the cost of the belt. Any suggestions if they're available in Canada? Thanks.

I don't know what your end use is but I use CR Speed competition belts most of the time. I often leave the inner belt on after shooting. I know that there is a version of the Wilderness Instructor belt that has stiffener. I use a regular Wilderness belt for general use and like it but it's not heavy enough for use with a heavy pistol.

CP Gear now offers a riggers belt with a cobra quick release buckle and a kydex insert. It's a great belt. And I've heard the guy that gave them the idea is pretty checked out too.

+1 for 5:11 belts. I've used one of their 'Leather Casual' belts for IDPA for a couple of years (with comp-tac holsters). They are very stiff and a good platform for your gear. Only downside is that the hardware from some holsters will quickly mar the finish. For IPSC I prefer a 2-piece belt - like CR Speed.
