If you had a choice between

1) a barrel whose gas port is drilled slightly (2 degrees) off centre

or

2)a barrel whose chamber was rough and has been honed and polished and within tolerance.

Which one would you choose?

1) NO good if you are going to use it on a A style front sight... maybe get it to work dremel time in side for the gas port ... Ok if you have a short gas block and can hide it under a handgard

2) Ok if you do not reload ...or could be ok depends on how bad it was

Thanks yeah I plan to hide the low profile gas block under a hand guard.

Either one will work just fine, don't get your knickers in a knot about it. The hole in the gas block is normally larger than the gas port to accommodate for installation tolerances. The other barrel has the chamber polished, so it's good to go as well.
