after did alots of research, I finaly decided to buy a savage 10FP in cal.223, I went to the wholesalesports in Saskatoon, they don`t have any 10FP in stock the sales given me a savage 12FV which is even at a cheaper price, but he cann`t tells me what`s the differents or why 12FV is cheaper than the 10 FP, then I checked S.I.R mail order, the don`t even have it on their website, after other tons of research I`m thinking if I coundn`t find any 10FP I`ll buy a savage 12BVSS, can someone tell me where can I get a 10PF OR 12BVSS ?? or I should go get a 12FV instead 10 FP? thanks

Wholesale Sports in Calgary as another .223 10FP & the one in Edmonton has a few .223 FV's & 1x Bvss. Check with P&D Enterprises, they have a few on tha racks as well..

Get the BVSS and don't look back. The laminate stock is far superior to the POS platic stock they put on the standard FP or FV models. It'll ride the bags far more smoothly if you plan on doing some bench shooting. The stainless steel feature is nice too.

Yeah, the cheapo stock on the FP's kinda sucks, I found the BVSS very heavy.. my .223 FP has a HS Precision stock on it, which I love very much..

Is that a factory offering or did you just swap the stocks? Reason I ask is because I'd buy one NOW if it was available. The McMillan stock with a .223 option would be my preference. I've considered buying the 12FV in .223 and a .308 Win. McMillan and doing a swap and selling the other rifle.

I picked up a Savage 112BVSS in .25-06 and mounted a Leupold VX-III 6.5x20
Long Range scope with Varmint Hunter's Reticle. With one of my initial batches of reloads I shot a three shot group @ 185yds that measured 0.486"! Good 'bang for the buck' and I'm well pleased!

Here's mine. It Robin Hoods my rounds on a fairly regular basis at 100 yds (depending on me) and if I am up to it, it will put the "pop" in pop cans at 300.

I'm shooting 55 gr. Sierra SP bullets with 25.8 gr. Win 748. Scope is a cheapie Tasco, but it works! I'm considering another model 12 in .308 if the Christmas bills:eek: don't kill me first.

I swaped stock with a .308...the problem with the McMillan is that you may have to glass bed it..the HS you don't, since it is pillar bedded...

My Savage is the 10FP-LE (law enforcement). It comes in either .308 or .223 with different barrel lengths and 4 stock combinations. Either Choate, McMillan, HS or standard Savage. No need to order a seperate stock. if you want Mcmillan, go for it.

Tikka T3 Lite I'm guessing is not even close to out-of-box accuracy of Savages both 10 and 12

Hogue has a pretty nice stock that I might end up buying for my 10FP. I have the overmold on my 10/22 and it's pretty comfortable.
