I know there has been a thread every week or so on buying parts from the USA and Brownells under $100 and export certs, etc ad nauseum but I was wondering if anyone has experiences purchasing products from other countries? I know some Israeli sites are popular amoung the CZ guys (like Zahal maybe?) but are there any other major countries making AR parts and willing to ship to Canada, getting around the US export red tape? I know for the most part the issue isn't Canadian Customs allowing the items in, it is countries being able to ship them out.

If this has been done before, mea culpa, but just looking at other options. Also, don't forget about the Canadians when looking for parts (NEA, Dlask, etc - just need to keep them in stock!)

Thanks in advance!

You would have to order a lot of parts to begin with. Israel gets its guns and parts from US Military Programs. So the export of all US military guns, parts and accessories is controlled by the US Government and not Israel. So you will not be getting anything from them. The m14 rifle sales was allowed for a short period of time by the US Government, Israel needed the money!!! The only m16/m14 parts etc would have to come from a country who got US equipment and is no longer is in the US Government "good books"!
