Buying bayonet from ebay

Don't bring it in as military goods or weapons or anything like that. Too much "involvement" when certain parties are "notified"..... as they will be.

Customs declaration should read "Manufactures in iron and steel: used knife".

Duty rate, if any, will be tiny.

You can buy it and ship it. Best way to ship is USPS because UPS, FED-EX and other courier services have a nasty habit of charging you a $40 ++ "Brokerage Fee". USPS is much cheaper to ship, and will deliver to your door or post office.

As mentioned, do not put "Bayonet" or "Military" on the customs declaration that the shipper/seller makes out at the Post Office. I like the "used knife" or "collectors knife" or something similar.

Here is a tip if you are looking at buying a bayonet on eBay. If the picture of the item is not clear, check out other items the seller has for sale. If the other pictures are clear and show lots of detail the seller is probably hiding something. Got sucked into that one a few years ago, it was the last item I bought on the site.
