Hey guys, im just getting into reloading. I purchased a lyman expert reloading kit for myself for xmas. So i need bullets, brass, primers, and powder. i am in Toronto, Ontario, so i was wondering where is the best place to buy these compenents? I am looking to save money so i would like to buy in 1000 quantities. So if you guys can point me in the right direction of suppliers for these products that would be great. Also, i will need these components for .40S&W, .223, .308.

Thanks guys

Work up a load before you buy bullets or powder in bulk. Especially powder. Any shop will order what you want, in the quantity you want. Be prepared to pay up front for bulk orders though.
Shipping costs will negate any cost savings from on-line retailers.

"I used to buy 60-100K for a bulk purchase...."

Where did you purchase it from?

I am looking for suppliers of these materials. Is it better to order it through my local shop, or get it from an online retailer? Also, what online retailers are out there for these types of items.

Work up your loads first. Buy fifty of this, and fifty of that, and single trays of this and that primer. When you get very accurate, consistent (velocity) loads, then go out and buy bulk of that lot of powder and primer and bullet.

There are a couple dealers on the board...

I used to sell Montana Golds and cam-pro's

This is pretty good advice. Nothing like getting 1000 bullets that don't shoot, or 16 pounds of a powder that doesn't give you the velocity you expected. Once you've got your recipe worked out, then buy your components in bulk.

I’ll vote for Higginson’s as well. Very often they have the best prices and they don’t have a problem filling large orders.

Things like bulk products from MSG DREW, and Higginson that are readily available to you fellows in the east. Shipping out west is what can kill a great buy on some bullets, brass, and powder.
Good luck with your new hobby and have a nice Christmas. FS

Take a road trip.

My pal Rick at R&Rbullets@mountaincable.net casts most handgun bullets and has some rifle moulds too. He sells in thousand quantities if you so desire. He is on the mountain in Hamilton.
Lowry's shooting supplies in Caledonia has tons of powder and primers. As for brass, well, you're on your own.....
