I placed an order with Brownells under $100 and I recieved an email stating I need an export license. I tried to purchase a Nordic Components 870 +1 extension, Nordic MXT nut and Vang Comp SS Follower. What do I do? Are there any Nordic Component Distributers in Canada? Here is the email.

"Due to the combination of your country of residence and/or delivery along with certain products that you have ordered, the US Commerce Department requires an export license to be able to complete and ship your order.

To complete this application we will need:

· Signed/dated purchase order on your letterhead stationary

· BIS711 form

· Import certificate or permit

We have attached the BIS711 form for your convenience. Unfortunately, our US Commerce Department does not accept faxed copies, so you will need to mail these documents to us.

Thank you."

Not sure what on that list requires the export license (all the items show as available outside USA) but I got an 870 extension at my local Canadian Tire made by Tac Star - they have a 2 and 3 shot extension tube/spring set....

FOC sells the Follower:

I found a company called 4gt sells tacstar 2 shot extension as well:

I will give Brownells a call tomorrow to see what's up. I'm stuck on wanting a Nordic Components +1 extension only.

Anyone know a Nordic Component Distributor?

Thanks!

Shotgun parts in the US are regulated by the commerce dept, not ITAR so yeah, sometimes there is "extra" hoops to jump through to order them from a US retailer.

Tactical Ordinance is a Nordic Components dealer but he does not sell them online. Just give him a call and he will likely have what you are looking for. He prob has a bunch of follower options too but I am a fan of the SJ Hardware Deralin ones. They slide nice and smooth.

The easiest thing is phone in your order and tell the young lady you are from Canada. They can usually tell you what you can have permit free

I think it's the vang comp. I tried getting some of their stuff before ( a few years ago mind you) and it was no go. If Vang comp hasn't done the export papers then Brownells can't ship it even if thry are licenced
