Buying M1A Stock off US Forum

What are the implications, on my end and sellers end, of buying a m1a stock off another forum, if the cost of the stock (NOT including shipping) is less than $100? I would rather not pay some of the ridiculous prices you sometimes see in Canada, but if thats my only option, then that may be what I have to do.
