99% of the time that is done by rental security types or airline baggage people and they typically don't care as long as its not things that can 'go off' while mid flight.. but there is that 1% chance that your luggage is x-rayed by another of the US agencies (customs/etc.).. i assume its just like driving back to Canada from the states, 99% of the time there is no exit check, but there is always that 1% chance that their is an exit block and examinations
