buying psitol & club membership delima

Hi all,

Waiting on my rPAL to arrive soon (new applicant. moved from Ireland 6 months ago). I want to buy a custom 1911 (make & model decided). However there's a 6 month lead time.

Before I place an order for a gun do I have to be a club member? I'd prefer not to join a club until close to the time my gun is ready for delivery. I don't want to (unless of course I've no choice) pay for membership for 6 months & not have a gun to shoot.

I would consider joining a club earlier since some clubs require you to go through a probation period that could take several months depending on schedules. You won't get an ATT until you are a full member especially in Ontario.

PS. At my club, we go out of our way to help new members with club guns for you to use or many times other members will let you try out their guns.
 
or pick up a cheaper gun in the mean time, used off of the EE forum 6months is a long time.....just sayin
