Here is for the FRT says about the BX-25, the 25rd 10/22 magazines made by Ruger

- Ruger BX-25 is a twenty-five shot magazine available for this Model firearm.
- Ruger BX-25 magazine is interchangeable between the Ruger model 10/22 and SR22 rifles and Ruger 22 Charger handgun configurations and is considered a "handgun" magazine. Because handguns are limited to a ten shot magazine capacity in accordance with the CC PART III, S. 84, Regulations PART 4 Para 3. (1) (b) "The Former Cartridge Magazine Control Regulations", this limits the magazine capacity for the rifle configuration to ten (10) shots, despite the firearm being designed to use rim-fire ammunition.

There are so many 10/22 up here, and people love a reliable mag. Their snafu on the packaging hurt them and us. But I'm sure we a small drop in the bucket when it comes to their total bottom line. Even if every Canadian bought 2 for each 10/22 they own.

Another reason why these stupid magazine restrictions need to be abolished!

Prohibited rimfire magazines. Just too ridiculous for words!

this will happen with every single large rimfire mag from now on because the USA loves their crappy "pistols" (rifle with short barrel and no stock) which always get discontinued after a few months because no one really wants them i.e. S&W 15-22

This BX-25 BS should be stickied instead of having the same thread repeated over and over ad nauseum...
