Hello,

I recently bought a CIL 125 (made by Anschutz) in excellent condition from an estate. I was wondering if anyone knew what rings fit the dovetail receiver? I figured since it was made in West Germany it may have a metric dovetail? I believe the corresponding Anschutz model is the 1400. Looking to mount something inexpensive with a 1 inch tube such as a vortex crossfire 2x7 rimfire. Hope someone can point me in the correct direction. Thanks

Anschutz sporting rifles, including the CIL Anschutz 125, have 11mm dovetail grooves. Look for dovetail rings for 11mm dovetails.

The ones that work with CZ and Tikka will also work with Anschutz. See below for some examples.

From left to right, top row first, Warne, Sportsmatch, BKL, Talley, Hawke

In addition to grauhanen's advice, I would say that for the *relative* size of optic the OP intends to mount, the Warne rings are probably the simplest for a low profile setup.

My favourite rings would be Sportmatch and BKL in general and they offer much more options on height compared to Warne for larger optics. I have no experience with Hawke but they are reportedly quite good (mind you on .22LR, it's not really a big deal either). I don't care for Talley rings at all.

Another alternative is to get a 11mm clamp adapter to Picatinny and then mount whatever common rings you want (or already have laying around).

11mm for the scope dovetail. If you're talking about the front globe sight dovetail, you'll likely have to buy used sights or an adapter at Nordic Marksman, Tesro, etc.

Some rings are reversible for euro / American scope dovetails. Either way, you shouldn't have any trouble finding 11mm rings. If it's a target rifle that you're going to be shooting off a rest, I'd say +1 for the picatinny adapter. For that kind of shooting you really want the rings as high as they can go, and the adapter will buy you 10 or 20 moa.
