I could very well be getting one of these in my possession.
Big thing is, it's missing the detach mag.
Any idea where one could be found and for what ransom$.

My first gun ever!
And I lost the 5 round mag some time later, and did manage to replace it with a 10 rounder.
So..., at one time spares did exist...

I have a cil 171 also and from my research the mags that will fit are as follows: Remington nylon 11, remingtin 525, remington 511, remington 513, and remington 521. I have not found any of these in canada or a place that will **** to canada. I did buy a savage mark II mag and try to adapt it. It works some of the time and took a few hours of tinkering to get to sort of work.

I did a refinish on the stock as well It didnt look near as good before. It also now wears a bushnell 3-9x40 for the time being

Cowbelly mentions his mags fit the Winchester 69A which I own a couple of.
I will see if they will fit.

Thinking I was a nice guy I gave mine away to a fellow who was having a raccoon and porcupine problem (idiot). Very nice wood on the rifles.

You'll find there was an array of guns that use the same magazine as those.

Remington, savage, Winchester, lakefield. If you do some research you'll find they're around. They're not the cheapest mags I've ever bought but that's life

I ordered a mag from Cowbelly in the ee. $20 shipped for a 6 rounder like the one that comes with the gun originally. Id say thats a good price.
