Anybody know the tread pitch and the diameter of the screws that attaches the mount to the frame? Also, where can I buy such screws? Thanks!

Depends on the mount, the frame and who did it.

For STI; at the factory they use a 5-40 screw. Others may be different.

size 5-40 are hard to find in Canada. Your best bet is e-bay pare.....

thanks guys... hopefully the 5-40 screws fit. The frame is an STI so according to Sean, the 5-40 size screws are the correct ones.

They are not a stock item at Home Depot but SB Simpson, Brafasco, or any of the machine tool supply shops will have them.

Sean, you might want to check this one I think it is 6-40 we have replaced STI scope Mount with Double Tap and we used 6-40 but than again I might be wrong

Nope, STI is 5-40.
