C No7 Barrels ?

Just pondering on the Cno7 that was on the EE today. Did they ever have a barrel with bayonet lugs? Both of mine do not and the front site protectors have no matching grooves that the No4 sight protector has. Was thinking that this was a very early CNo7 or a sleeved barrel. Leaning towards the sleeved barrel so in my mind this is a pieced together rifle. So am I off in my assumption? Yes I know I'm not supposed to assume :) Thanks guys

looking at the photos supplied in the add and seeing the serial on the wrist, the stamping on the receiver, and the stockset, that would be my guess too.
 
Does it have an 0L### serial number and what does it have for info on the receiver. There were three types of markings on the receivers. I have three of the different kind of receivers in the grease, and a used No8 receiver.
I am going from memory as just got out of the hospital and can't get to my library, or shop.
I have one of the made up Long Branch .22s with sleeved barrel but not marked .22, and I have mint C No 7 with a 1L### serial number. I have the Lee-Enfield book by Major Reynolds, all three of the Ian Skennerton books, and a number of other books by other authors. None of the three marked LB 22s like the ones below I have owned had sleeved barrels.
I think the first of the 3 kinds of No7s were marked:

I can only suggest that if you are going to pay big bucks for one it had better be one of the above marked ones.
Google all you can about the No7 Long Branch before you decide.
 
It's definitely not original. In addition to the bayonet lugs:
84L8### serial number belongs on a late '44 or early '45 No4Mk1* 303.
The serial number is possissioned further up the wrist than I'd expect to see.
The wrist has clearly been ground in the same manner as the stripped actions recently seen for sale.
The markings on the side of the receiver also don't look totally right but that could be from refinishing.
The thing is originals are selling between $1200.00 and $1700.00 (and up) so the asking price might not be out of line. Could you source the parts then pay someone to build it for the asking price?
