c. sharps 45-70 rifle help!!!

i have been offered a c.sharps in 45-70 30 inch octagon barrel, any ideas as to what model it would be, my best guess is a buisness rifle with a optional octagon barrel, also what would be a fair price? thanks glenn

C. Sharps makes 45-70 rifles in their Sharps Models 1874 and 1875, and also offer that caliber in their 1885 (Winchester) Highwall model.
All come standard with octagonal barrels, with 30 inches being a standard optional length.
Your best bet would be to check on their site at www.csharpsarms.com to see which looks like the one offered.
