C21-safe Battle Rifles?

I've always wanted an M14, but I'm going to wait to see how C21 amendments all shake out. I've been looking all over and finding lists of guns ON the ban list, but I can't find a list of guns immune to C21. Anyone have some .308 alternatives to suggest? I've found the Troy PAR and FIMS SPBP, but I'm sure there's more out there. Also, are there even any non-banned-by-name, non-detachable-mag, semi-auto rifles?

Yeah, because someone from the anti's needs to come into the depths of CGN and obviously ask ridiculous questions to find out what guns to ban. I really don't like how guys jump on everybody asking what they can still buy. Could some have nefarious intentions? Sure. My bet is most are genuinely new to the sport and are legitimately looking for an answer. Pretty good way to turn someone off the site and the community by ganging up on them instantly. There's not really anything secret on this site...a quick Google search would turn up a much easier and faster answer to the question.

I'm new to things in Canada, new to rifles, and finally reading up on things now that I've got my PAL after much procrastinating. Figured this topic would be a little popcorn-worthy. I guess I'll have to deal with not knowing the future, like everyone else. Thanks!

Just ignore the paranoid. They seem to believe that if we don't speak the names of these rifles, they can't be banned (seemingly forgetting that the RCMP is already aware of every make and model of firearm legally in Canada).

Canada Customs has had my 2 5rd Ruger 10/22 mags and iron sights since Nov 7/2022. Letters to MP and multiple calls just methane feedback we're short staffed.....covid BS. So I asked if they had been instructed to hold stuff until bill c-21 passed........crickets.

As far as I know even bolt action isn't safe so my best bet is some old and rare piece to not grab any attention.
