C8 gas block size

Anyone know if the surplus C8 used a .750 or .625 gas block?

Both. First ones issued in 1984 had .625. The latest version will have a 2 stamped on the and M4 feed ramps and .750 FSB. It's the improved barrel for the Dutch. It has also has the improved chamber on it.

C8 has never had M4 feed ramps, not even C8A3.

Ok, I’m referring specifically to Cdn Forces, which is where these surplus uppers originate.

The Dutch barrels do. They wanted M4 feed ramps, so Diemaco made them with m4 feed ramps.

Did the Danish also request M4 ramped barrels? I have a Devtek marked barrel on a presumably Danish upper w/ folding gas block, and it also has M4 ramps. Upper is M4 marked and I believe it was in one of the Vickers guides actually

The project manager at the time of the contract told me that the Dutch requested M4 feedramps.
