Interesting. At first I though it was digital (due to the pics) but then I realized it's probably a ribbon.

Seem like a good idea at first glance. Depending on how complicated it is.

Yeah, but does it wash dishes?

Why would you need to know how many rounds you have left? How much of a nutjob do you need to be to not know when you're out and the gun don't go bang no more.

If they are around $15 and don't fall apart, I might pick a couple up. If they are more than that I will just stick with the Pmags.

LOL! colourful... I think it would be handy for deciding when to do a tac reload, instead of a "gun don't go bang" reload, but I'd be concerned about the mechanism breaking and killing the mag. Have to see how it works.

Not that relevant in Canada anyway - as someone pointed out, we can all count to five well enough.

Their standard polymer mag would be nice since PMAGs are near impossible to find. I believe the CAA site said $19 some odd for the couner and $16 or $16 for the standard mag. I emailed fab sports about the polymer mag (since their pinned, I don't want to spend extra on the counter) and they said they're trying to get them.

The bottom counter is more to give you a rough idea of whats in the mag when you're looking down at your pouches, the empties will be red, the full ones will be green so if you glance down to change you won't accidently grab an empty. The counter on the rear is the one you actually use as you can see it when you have the rifle up. I like the idea, though its not really necessary, and I don't think if the ribbon broke it would actually have any impact on the mag's operation, but we'd obviously need to see the insides to confirm. It would be a nice extra feature to have, and if you go down to the states with any sort of regularity then maybe it would be a good idea.

The CAA site shows the counter model as being only a couple dollars extra, if they were available here and with only a two or three dollar price difference I could see myself buying these ones instead, simply for the extra feature should the mag law change or I bring down south.

Partial or empty mags should be placed in a dump pouch, on the ground, or feed lips up when returned to a pouch. Although the idea has merit.
