Anybody have experience, or have seen the CAA Sniper Stock in person? (Available from Alberta Tactical Rifle Supply)

I'm thinking of getting one of these for my AR DMR build, since I'm not really sold on the beefiness of the Magpul PRS.
As well, the CAA Sniper has a certain level of tacticoolness that only a mall ninja like myself could contain. :D

All kidding aside- any thoughts or opinions? Should I look and/or consider other AR precision grade stocks?

How about an A2 stock? Simple, solid, frees up lots of money to go toward an optic/ammunition/range time, etc.

I do not recall seeing adjustable stocks at the nationals. The top level shooters are shooting plain fixed stocks. A simple tubular handguard is a very easy and inexpensive way to assemble an accurate AR.
I just received a NEA 18" barrel. Just waiting for a mid-length gas tube, then I'll be able to give it a comprehensive accuracy test. If it consistantly shoots under 1 1/2 minutes, with me behind it, and with my usual match ammunition & sight, I'll be satisfied.
A good barrel, good sight and good ammunition, along with serious practice, will produce results.

The PRS isn't all that beefy, have you actually seen one in person?

If you do go the A2 route, I think there are adjustable replacement pads.

looks chinsey on CAAs website...almost airsoftish

the A2 is probably the most sturdy you will get...then add a Sierra Precision adjustable butt pad

We'll see. I'll be sure to post the results. The barrel I machined out a Brand X internet purchased 1-8 blank does that. The take-off Stevens 200 barrel I retrofitted to an AR upper shoots about 1 1/2 minutes.

This would be shooting prone, with the 5/30 being used as a monopod.
I'll test it with sandbags to remove a bit of the human factor.

Its just something about the PRS that doesn't tickle the mall ninja inside of me.
Yes, I'm still thinking of the CAA Sniper Stock, but I'm also considering both the A2 and the Ergo F93 PRO.

The main reason why I'm considering the CAA is because its monopod friendly. The reason for the Ergo? 1- telescopic, that way I can get cozy with it. (I find a close shoulder to be more stable for myself.) 2- kickass looks.

I have a CAA sniper stock on my 20". I like it. Pretty solid, very adjustable and looks better than the PRS in my opinion.

I got mine from Ebay and saved a bunch of cash.
Just make sure you order the right one. there is one for the carbine buffer tube and one for the A2 tube.

Good luck
