Cabelas Covenant Tactical 4X16

Not a bad scope for $299. put one on a 7mm mag target rifle and it's holding up fine. Tracks well, lots of adjustment for my needs (100 to 1000). Think hard about whether you really NEED FFP...for target shooting at known distances where you are on max power all the time anyway it's useless. For hunting I'd rather use a laser rangefinder then guess with a reticle, so again, kind of useless there. I got the FFP but in hindsight would have got the SFP...4-16 model here as well. Eyebox was fussy as hell on max power until I adjusted the diopter a bit, now it's acceptable and easy to get a consistent sight picture with no blackout.
Reticle pic is at 200m, max power, taken with a cell phone lol.

I convinced myself to buy one a few months back after seeing some decent reviews. Mounted it on a Savage 243 and So far I'm really happy. It performed well at the range with good tracking and was quick and easy to sight in. Shot a few half moa groups and was off coyote calling the next weekend. It was about minus 20 and it didn't skip a beat. Got one coyote around 80 yards and one shot of a lifetime, head shot at around 430. Used the reticle to judge his distance as I had been practicing to, held over what I knew for the load, added some right for the wind ( easy to call with blowing snow) and boom.

Probably going to sell my Bushnell and get another one of these for my 223 gopher season.

I think a good entry into ffp scope for small money.
