Cabelas hazmat charges

details please  you have no idea how hard it is north of the 60th parallel to get powder/primers. I usually drive 1700km to Edmonton to buy this stuff. Actually that's next week.

That is a really good deal but surely they screwed up or do they waive it for orders over
### $?

They don't have to charge Hazmat fees, but can if they want.

I got 4lbs of powder and 1000 primers from Cabelas, ( I bought all the H4350 they had and the last 1000 210M at the time) and the total shipping was $14.95, and it came by UPS.

Was it marked as powder on the outside of the box? It seems the shipping co's have made it easier to ship powder lately.

from the CanPar website:
What Not to Ship:
...Explosives or dangerous goods of any kind (except for consumer commodities as defined by the Dangerous Goods Act)

Look, you think I am making this B.S. up, I have a business... I have tried to ship primers, Canpar shipped me the primers, I went back to Canpar depot with a box of 5000 primers in the original box labled correctly to ship the primers... they would not do it... Maybe I just got an idiot but I call them and they said they would not, the guy at the depot said he asked his boss and they would not. I even said look you shipped them to me so why cant you send them back... they looked at me puzzled.

The same day I took the exact same box to UPS they would not ship it either.

Maybe I am just unlucky, woman at DHL knew all about how to ship primers and they shipped them for me... she said they are the only ones that can ship this stuff... after being to there competition I just caved in and paid the fees.

I am not some kinda arm chair quarterback... been there and done that... maybe your local Canpar is aproved as a dangerous goods courier to ship this kind of stuff aparently mine is not.

Here is a link to the dangerous goods act... http://laws.justice.gc.ca/en/T-19.01/
Maybe someone can help find the consumer commodities part so I can take it with me next time I go to canpar
