Anyone have a cabelas intensity scope on their rifle, how do you like it.
I replaced a 6x24x42 on my .223 with a 4x16x40 as I don't see myself shooting it off a bench as much as I used to.

I'm not here to be told they're cheap store brand crap, we know.
Looking for users actual experience with them

Thanks

I’m currently using an intensity LR 4-16x44 on my hunting rifle. I love it, the reticle is SO wide open that’s the biggest plus. I have been using duplex on pretty much everything the last few years and lower quality than these cabelas ones. I got it off a friend for $200 so it was a budget scope anyways, but I’m very impressed with the glass. The turret doesnt quite track the 1/4 moa it claims but whatever I’m only shooting 200-300 and there’s enough in the reticle for that to shoot game accurately. I had it out this evening while hunting and it collects light quite well. Better than a bushnell anyways.

I've had two in the last 5 years or so. I had a Covenant 4, 4-16 30mm tube. It was good for the $250 I paid and was lifetime warranty at that time. They have since changed the warranty but because I had the box that said lifetime and the receipt, they honored it. My issue was that the windage stopped working, and I couldn't zero when moved to another rifle. It lived on a 223 bolt gun before being moved to a 6.5 needmoore.

I replaced the covenant 4 with an intensity LR. It too was nice for the $300 or so I paid for it. But after some use the parralax knob got really stiff and you had to crank it real hard. I took it back within the 1 year warranty period and they refunded it fully.

For the same money, but a crimson trace hardline 4-16. They can be had for $300 just about every Wednesday sale.

Just read the reviews on Cabelas and you know what you are getting into. For that money, better buy a used Bushnell.

I have 2x Covenant-4s in 6-24x50 FFP and they're still working fine on a couple 22LRs. I run the parallax often but not so much for Elev or Wind. I was really pixxed when BP dropped the Lifetime Warr, but so far no need. For the money they're great and prob the 'Intensity' is too. But I'd go for a 'better brand' like Athlon for my better rifles.
PS - 1) thanks fred0000 2) My Covenants are ca 5-years and still going strong, my CZ455 SS Lux gets some 0.3xxs with one and my Sav B-22 FV does also.

I took it out to the range a few days ago to zero it in and shoot a few groups, clear glass, looks good on the rifle, it's on a .223 so I'm not too concerned about rattling it apart any time soon

Guys are reviewing Covenant's?
The Intensity is a totally different scope.
I have 4 of them -4-12x40s
I buy them for $99 when go on sale.
Superb. Best scopes for the money. Just note parallax is set to 150yds.
It doesn't my accuracy performance at all.

They're on sale today, for who knows how long, at 100 bucks I think they're a fantastic deal

they are crap does not matter where the reviews come from junk is junk if you think differently buy one put it on your gun and tell us differently
Anyone who slaps $100 glass on their gun and heads off with thousands of dollars of other gear for a long awaited hunt to get that once in a life time Buck needs mentoring.

Needs mentoring is a polite way of saying other things that would get me an infraction.

Reviews are great for sure, but even the similar spec'd (and currently on sale) Vortex has 1 star reviews too.
Vortex deserves 1*.
They spend more time off the rifle in the hands of couriers going for warranty work than on the rifle.

Each Vortex should come with a free ammo voucher since you use so much sighting in after multiple warranty visits.
