I was checking them out and they are over priced a steyr m95 was $700. But the strip club near by now the ladies there are awesome. Smokin hot and extra friendly. They had a couple semi auto Johnson rifles there too. $4500 and $8500.
yup...this is getting old
Your old.
Here's one about old and strip clubs. A few yrs ago I was doing some work in the Lethbridge, AB area with several other people. We would gather for dinner each night after work. One day the social convener of the group suggested that we go to dinner at a really neat restaurant that he knew. It turned out that the place was a strip club (yes, in good old Mormon/Hutterite influenced Lethbridge), and you had to order something to eat from a take-out.
I've been in a few bars and various dens of iniquity around the world and thought I'd seen most everything, but one of the more entertaining parts of the evening was watching an old geezer having a good time. He looked like the old pervert from "Family Guy" and made his way around the stage with a walker as he paid the girls an extra $10 for a special up-skirt peek. He had real thick glasses, but seemed to be taking it all in like a true student of gynecology, and was having more fun than a kid in a candy store dolling out those ten spots. I decided that I did not want to grow up to be like him, nor did I want to be spending my kid's inheritance that way. MILSURPs are better.
lol...you are correct sir.
took me 43 yrs to find a hobby that I absolutely love.
but I'm hooked now..for good.
and it's: you're
@purple: good story...good choice
Give us the run down on your collection. To see what direction you went in. I personally like the Russian stuff and WW2 rifles. My first was a ROSS M-10 then I found out there was other straight pulls so I bought 2 steyr m95 and a K31. Rumor has it there are other straight pulls.
The "Top Hat", great place and lots of fun. Nice friendly canadian girls. Did you visit the champagne room? Good times in there. Lots to do there, pool tables, sports on the tv's, good dancing, good drinks. I have killed a few hours in there.
I've done a core memory dump on the experience.
here's a couple rifles to keep this thread marginally relevant

Why were you looking at semi-auto johnsons at the strip club?
ok...here it goes....gratuitous picture display coming up:
The first, ever:
![]()
then these two before I knew that restored rifles are not very cool:
![]()
then I overpaid for this 1939 Sauer un Sohn (it's in a Mario stock)
![]()
then I learned about the rest of the Russians:
![]()
but I also grabbed this Swede, cause Mausers are so damn nice:

I took a look at the collection....and I couldn't believe I didn't have a single Enfield, so I added a '44 Long Branch:

but I didn't have the coolest rifle ever made....so I bought 2..1917 Enfield (ftr'd in 1954 and restored with tons of help and advice from louthepou and smellie) and a 1940 Lithgow (ftr'd in 1953):

saw a video of the muzzle flash from a M44...had to have one (it's in there somewhere...and needs to have that nasty varnish removed)

so yeah...there ya go....another No.1 Mk3 and a 91/30 in the mail as I type this.

Didn't you start a thread last week about your wife getting a boob job done in Calgary? And now you are in Post Falls, Idaho, checking out the friendly ladies in the Strip Joint? Does your wife know about this?
