I wondering what's the reason that Cabela's doesn't sell any Glock pistols or parts. They seem to sell everything else. Almost everyone owns or wants one. You would think that they would sell tons of them.

They actually sell very few handguns, unless you're looking for a sig, lots of them to choose from. i was there last weekend, they had two Berettas, a couple kimbers, a few Ruger single actions, one s+w revolver, a couple .22's. and a RIA 1911 i think and a TON of Sigs! i was looking for a springfield. there prices are good though, and i like that you can just grab your ammo and go, even handgun ammo and not have to take a number like back home in calgary (wholesale sports)

yeah, I don't know why the one in Winnipeg doesn't operate that way...still have to grab a number here.

beware of cabela's. especially cabela's edmonton (opened aug 4 2011). inspect the hell out of anything from them. they will not honor their refund/replacement policy.

I purchased a S&W 629-6 from them "brand new", took it to the range for the first and last time and fired 25 rounds off. the barrel no longer aligned with the frame and cylinder so i couldnt fire anymore. if i had managed to keep shooting it probably would have taken my hand off.

i took it back to them and they accused me of damaging it myself, pretty much called me a liar and told me to screw off. i had to send it to BC myself to the S&W rep. ive been a service member for 5 years with a tour in afghanistan. my job is guns. if they do that to someone with my skills and training what do you think they will do to you?

be very cautious with those people.

I just bought a new S&W M&P9 from P&D and right on my bill of sale it's stamped in red "FINAL SALE, ALL MANUFACTURERS DEFECTS MUST BE DEALT WITH THRU DISTRIBUTOR WARRANTY". So what 's the difference between them and Cabela's? I wouldn't have a problem buying any firearm from them (Cabela's).

Cabelas dot ca has the best prices on shotguns that I have ever seen.

I don't think they care that much about the handgun market. But I'm really glad they are selling handguns. People see my Cabelas catalog at work and see the handguns and they ask me; "Can you actually buy handguns in Canada? I though they were banned here?"

Then I get to tell them all about how much fun it is.
