Recieved my Cabelas tumbler this week and ran 500 cases through it. It worked fine but found the bole was beginning to rub through.
Cabelas just said send it back for a refund or replacement.

Anyone elsehave this with the model 400?

Any good recomendations for a tumbler?

I've run thousands through mine. What do you mean by the bowl rubbing through?

There are 5 areas around the bowl where the brass has eroded the bowl material. I have already sent it back so no pics available however they are the width of a 3006 shell and were caused bu the shells rubbing against the bowl. The material is grooved out of the bowl

mine does too. The bowl is peeling like in the photo
do I need to worry about it? I thought it helps tumble the brass.

That is what was happening to mine. I thought after 500 rounds or so with corn cobs, that can't be right
I have looked t other sites and have found the same complaint also. As I have said Cabellas said no problem and ship it back. Most likely I will be purchasing a Lyman or Hornady instead

Wow, that's odd. I have none of those problems. I have run mainly pistol brass through mine. Maybe it's rifle rounds that are doing it?

im noticeing that mines doing the same thing, Ive ran 450 300WM and 100or so 308 through it using the supplied corncob media...
I guess when you buy the cheepest one, you know what to expect.

I've owned two tumblers, and used both extensively with out this ever happening. I always thought that the motor would be the first thing to go on the really cheap ones. guess that I was wrong. On that note, I guess that I'll continue to buy Lyman when this one needs replacement.
