Anyone here assemble an AR10 using a Cadex AR10 lower? I'm just about finished building my first AR15 and am thinking about building an AR10 next.

What parts are they compatible with? How's the quality? Should I just buy the Armalite AR10 lower from Wolverine?

Need some help with this decision.

Thanks in advance. .

Im pretty sure Darren at OSTS has assembled one. He sells 'em so hey may be a little biased, but from what I understand they are excellent receivers. Same with their AR15 lowers. Give him a shout.

Yea i did a bunch of research on the Ar-10 lower they have & I just finished a AR-15 build with one of their CDX-15's, solid stuff. I"m going the KAC Sr-25 route because OST has financing but I'd recommend it any day!

I had a SOCOM AR-10 Lower. Which I believe was made by CADEX. It was very nice

But anything AR-10 is very nice .... :)

Can't compare a Billet lower to a Forged. I had an Armalite AR-10 as well. Certainly not as pretty, but it worked.

They are compatible with Armalite AR10 uppers. By all accounts they are a nice billet lower. If you can get the lower from Wolverine then that's an option. But you should know they aren't so easy to get. I waited a long time for one. Also getting barrels form Armalite for the AR10 is next to impossible. You'll have to get one built for the rifle, or find an alternative company that makes one. There are options out there but it's not as easy as the AR15 market. Unlike the AR15 compatibility isn't common.

The Armalite is a very good no frills AR10. They are solid and shoot nicely. The main advantage over them is cost. Especially when you look at what the competition (other military grade rifles) cost with Stainless barrels. Many come with Chrome lined. You want stainless for the AR10 unless you plan on just shooting crap for plinking and using your AR10 as a carbine.

I'd also keep searching the EE. You never know. Plus don't limit yourself. If a LMT for example comes up at an excellent price then seriously consider it. Although they are very expensive now. They are an exceptionally good firearm at what was an excellent price point. The only issue is they generally come with Chrome Lined barrels. The Stainless barrel is both expensive and can be hard to find. Check Questar for that stuff.

The Cadex AR-10 lowers are pretty nice.......and they mate up to a Noveske Leonidas upper quite nicely I must say. :)

I have built a few using the DPMS lower parts kit, everything is the same as a standard AR-15. The DMPS kit includes a threaded pin for the bolt catch, this is not used by Cadex, they use the standard 3/32 x 1/2" roll pin, so a trip to Home Depot is required as this does not come in the kit. Other than that all is the same and it it very easy to assemble.

Best part is we have them in stock ready for immediate delivery. It should also be noted that the CADEX lower utilizes Armalite Magazines
