Cadex Chassis Systems: Post your pics, questions and answers here!

Prototype is done and waiting final approval from our Military customer.

Once it's approved we'll launch a run into production and will have extra produced for the commercial market.

Then we'll advertise it and we'll count on you to spread the word that Cadex has a chassis for the Tikka T3 short action.

So will it use the original factory mags or AI mags or some other after market kit? I have a T3 Varmint in 6.5X55 that is going into a GRS stock, but I will be buying another one in 308 that could go into your chassis. Which version of your chassis system will be available first for the T3? Thanks for all the info!

My Strike Lite showed up a couple days ago and I picked up my barrelled action from the smith yesterday. Got it all put together and snapped a couple pics. Have to say that I'm very impressed with the quality of this chassis system. Also the packaging and manual are done in a very professional manner. Couldn't have had better service from Patrice and everyone from Cadex also. It seems to have very natural ergonomics when behind it,very happy with it.

Rem 700 Action
PTG One Piece Bolt
PTG Recoil Lug
22" Kreiger 1in7" Twist Chambered in 223 Ackley (with a 0.088" freebore for 80gr bullets)
Spuhr Mount
S&B PMII 12-50x56 (Might change to something smaller later)
Atlas Bi-Pod

A couple pics of how it comes

WoooHoooo .... UPS and no brokerage fees!

Just doing my part in supporting Canadian Business!

Now I just need time to put her together!

:dancingbanana:

Congrats man! Can't wait to see it all put together! I finally took mine out for the first time. Just some plinking from about 275m, sorry just a steel targer, no range report, no target sheets or evidence, haha! I have to admit though, I am more than pleased.

Here she is in action, just ignore idiot behind the rifle (me). I think it's my 3rd or 4rth time ever shooting bolt action. Skip to about 2.45:

IF you guys really want your chassis to be perfect I think you should look at the buttstock on the R.A.C.S from remington because yours look a little bit bulky for me. I think in term of looking your chassis is great but not perfect!

If I'm not mistaken, I think Cadex Defense actually helped engineer and design the RACS for Remington. Cadex took the original design and improved on it with the Cadex Strike Dual chassis.

I think your right, but I prefer the first version a lot more. The RACS looks slim compared to cadex

Yeah, I guess it just boils down to personal taste I guess, I don’t mind the stock that came with my Strike, no complaints about the ergos, and I absolutely love the fact that you don’t need tools to make adjustments (which is the same on the RACS).

Anyway, the price of an RACS is completely out of my ballpark. Assuming you can find a retailer that actually has them in stock, it ran about $4,500 USD the last time I actually saw one available (some shop in Vegas). I’m happy with my Canadian-made Cadex chassis, it was well worth the price I paid. Frankly I’m a pretty inexperienced shooter, and brand new to bolt guns, but this thing practically shoots itself and puts rounds pretty much where I want.....well, with good ammo anyway, not so much with the crap I was using in the video, haha!

If you ever end up getting an RACS, you HAVE to post pics...does anyone here on CGN have one?

My chassis FINALLY came. It was a long wait but worthwhile in the end.

300 Blackout in an OD chassis. Ignore the scope mounting. The mount is way too high and I need to source some low rings. My only complaint is the CTR stock supplied is the cheaper MOE version that does not have the secondary lock or the sling swivel attachment. Both those things would be nice to have on a bolt gun.

My primary goal for the chassis was to have something compact for my QD barrel rifle system. Initially I was gonna go with the new AI chassis but it is MUCH more expensive and not built in Canada. The CADEX Urban Strike, with its AR buffer tube allowed the installation of a side folding knuckle fairly easily.

The reason to go to a chassis is this rifle is capable of changing calibers. Just replace the bolt and screw in a new barrel and you can go from 223 family to 308 family in seconds. I have scopes mounted in Leupold QRW rings zero'd for each caliber I use. The chassis allows the easy swapping of magazines from caliber family to caliber family.

Folded, the chassis is the same length as the barrel. In the future I may look at trimming the forend a few inches to reduce the dismantled length of the rifle and allow it to be packed into a smaller case.

Received my new Field Strike on Friday, 1 day over 8 weeks as promised by the folks at Cadex, very happy. Found a break in the rain to take her out for a range test. Very happy so far with fit and finish, nice and solid. Had great customer service from Patrice and everyone else at Cadex.
