I need a picture or description of the retention screw for a cadet triad. The thread form is No.10-32NF, but I need to know if it's a dome screw, socket head cap screw, etc. and whether it's torx, hex, etc.

Anyone got a pic or know for certain? Also, is there a washer under the screw, or does it tighten directly against the mount?

based on this pic, it LOOKS like a hex socket head cap screw - can anyone confirm?

-It is a slot head screw "domed but with sock head look"
-No washer
-the mount has a heli coil thread
-loc-tited on

There not the best mount but hold a zero very well "better then most railed handgaurds"

By the way... I notice these earlier Diemaco-marked try-rails seem to be a different design than the Tri-Ad Cadex currently markets:

Are the CF currently issuing the ones depicted in my earlier posts, or these new Cadex style ones?

That's unfortunate. I have a condemned ex-CF one (which I managed to repair). It's missing the screw and the socket head cap screw would be easier to locate.

If it's CF, then it was Diemaco/Colt Canada not the Cadex knock off.

So does ANYONE issue the Cadex copy?

And on an unrelated train of thought - can the rail segment for the C7A1/C7A2 hand guards for mounting the issue CADEX grip be purchased at retail?

Not sure, but that's probably why so many get scrapped with bent axis pins, bent or broken rail segments, etc.

True dat :p

Everyone wants to look cool so there start messing with there issued rifle  I did a vault insp. once were buddy filp his tri-ad around and left his PEQ on with out flipping it too. So when you pressed the palm switch, it shot the laser back in your face LOL

Then there is the mangled screw heads because troopys think there crappy gerber tool will unscrew a screw set in red loc-tite

I never saw a C7/C8 with anything other than a Diemaco tri-rail

The Diemaco tri-rail was mounted on standard CF issued handguard

Cheers

When Cadex builds somethings it's almost always at the request of a major client.

They don't build something just to put out on the commercial market.

Yes. We are currently sold out right now though.

Can you post a link to the part on your website so I can check it out?

Another reason to mount the tri-rail on backwards is to make adding and removing the hand guards and more importantly the M203 allot easier.
