Met the team from Cadex at the Meaford match this weekend. Great bunch of guys, not just sales people and competitors, but a team of problem solvers. Patrice, Rob, Dominic & René helped many shooters throughout the weekend.

Enough babbling.

On the Cadex display table, was a new and smaller Falcon type bipod with a panning feature (from side to side) to facilitate following moving targets. This feature was a good selling feature for the Atlas bipod.

According to Patrice, the display unit was one of their prototypes. Price and availability is still unknown as the product has not been release yet.

I hope that Patrice will chime in shortly to let us know when we need to start saving our pennies for this bipod.

Here is a pic, the new one is on the left:

The right one (old model I guess?) Has a very robust, almost over-built look to it. I really like the look, but can only assume it weighs a significant amount. The other one looks much more streamlined, and potentially lighter.

For a similar price, I would buy whichever has the best features. They both look really nice in their own way.

Looks good.

Last I checked, the competition (LRA and Atlas) run about 500$ Canadian. I think 375$ would be reasonable.

Correction: An LRA bipod retails for 450 $ USD https://www.eurooptic.com/longrange-accuracy.aspx

We wouldn't be capable to produce such a quality bipod in Canada for such a low price. It won't be 375$ for sure. The Atlas is a fair quality bipod but the tightening mechanism wears out fairly fast and then it gets loose. So we are trying here to offer the ruggedness of a LRA with the lightweight of an Atlas at a competitive price.

We'll see what is the total cycle time on the CNCs once this first military contract is delivered and this will give us a better understanding of how low we can go.

Thanks for your understanding, constant support and have a wonderful weekend.

I really want that QD Mount on the Falcon in the photo. Hey CADEX, are you still planning on putting out a QD Conversion Kit this year for those of us with the Direct Mount? I remember you mentioning something about a QD Mount this past Summer.....

Thanks in advance for any info you can share!

Yes there will be a new adaptor available shortly for people that would like their Falcon to become Quick-Detach. It will be released pretty much at the same time than the Falcon Lite (about 2 weeks).
