CadPat 870 pics :)

well i did it the hard and $$$ way.
new unused parkarised 870 with one on my SPS plates on it willson combat mag follower.
i used ammakote and stick on stencles from them
took along time, longer then i figgered.
took the whole guna part and did the parts one by one
ya have to put o nthe stencels spray the whole gun say black, the more stencels then green, agin and again, then take them all off and add femail stencels.
Last thing is the clear kote in matt.
Id offer to do it forsomeone else but its way to much work intill i get my house a but more set up.
Yes its a bit more marpat then cadpat hard to get the finish right when you dont own anything in cadpat.
will be posting in in the EE forsale today.
I just finished 10 ithicas m37s in green armacote other then the pain
in the ass of sandblasting it and cleaning it it was way easyer.
but the ithicas sure do have alot of parts to paint, not like the 870s.
I dont know if you guys are plaing to do this , but make sure you strip the gun down and do each parts on its own like i did or its just not as good.
i think ill try the crappy tire paint nexed time as this was alot of work and alot of $$ for the paint $14 and oz + tax and shipping.

it's ok i wouldn't call it "great" the collours are way of from cadpat as well the patern is off as well it also looks rushed and purly thought out and badly planned. i'd say not even a 10th as effective as CADPAT at consealment because the colours don't belend

the purpose of digital camo is for the colours to blend and look layered as branches would look you might see the lighter colloyrs in a mostly bare rock with moss growing on it but that bright green throws that off

in conclusion It's not CADPAT it's a crappy digital paint job no offence

Mr. AlderTK:

That is quite a statement you made there. I don't recall seeing any of your work. Would you be so kind and show us all some examples. I would really like to compare your self-proclaimed superior technique and end result to Simmons.

Simmon put forth a tremendious effort here, both in time and money spent, yet you feel free to critize, are not constructive, nore offer us anything to compare it to.

Regardless of what you think, one needs to respect the effort.

I look forward to seeing examples of your work in a seperate thread.

Regards and all the best

Nice work Simon, but that is more MARPAT then CADPAT.;)

SKBY.

Actually its got elements of CADPAT, MARPAT and ACU all in one...

I've not met a digital pattern that I haven't found interesting! Nice work, takes a lot of patience I am sure. If Skullboy wasn't out of the painting business I'd have him dress up my sniper setup... Me? My wife says I shouldn't be left alone with fingerpaints let alone do a rifle up...

No offence? Guarandamntee anyone would take offence at your "constructive" critism. I know he put alot of effort into it and was not looking for anyone to pat him on the back, but you could have been much more diplomatic. I think it looks really good, and he spent a ton of time trying to make it look right.

How do they shoot with the pattern down the top of the barrel? Stainless Steel pistols usually have a non shiney surface on the top of the slide to prevent the glare from messing up the aiming. Is this a consideration or does the bead stand out and everything is normal or is there some getting used to the coloring( it is meant to be disruptive to the eye). They look cool ,and as a military or tactical firearm are probably whats needed . I am just wondering if you took one gun cadpatted and one not , to the trap or skeet field which would swing and sight better or if it is a non-issue.
