Invite your opinions on the Tempio Light model......I understand that this model has an aluminum alloy receiver. Also much appreciate any info that you may have come across in terms of rating when compared to a Beretta Ultralight?....my search has failed to reveal much at this point in time.

Thanks,

My wife has a Tempio Light in 28 gauge. It is one of her favourite shotguns. Compared to the Beretta, the machining of the metalwork is better on the Guerini, more precise. Nicer wood, too. Guerinis use less drop on their stocks than Beretta - something to be aware of.

Looking forward to inspect one for fit/feel. Assuming that wood butt plate could be replaced with a rubber pad if needed? How many shells through that 28ga so far? Thanks,

Ahsan, the little 28 has 6 or 7 flats through it so far and has experienced zero problems. The butt plate can easily be swapped out for another type of pad. On the 28 gauge you have to be careful not to upset the balance, as the gauge gets larger it becomes less critical.

While the Tempio Light model with the alloy frame is the lightest, Guerini guns are not heavyweights even with the steel frame, and the Tempio and Magnus "Jaspe" models with cyanide case colour hardening are absolutely gorgeous. The alloy frames are not nearly so attractive.

I had heard a lot of hype about these guns, all positive got my first look at one last week. Simply beautifull great wood, fit and finish was nicer than guns costing twice as much.

Thanks very much for the input......I shall be looking at the 12ga only. It would be either that or a 12ga Beretta Ultralight.

I like Berettas. My main gun is a 686 Special Sporting and I wouldn't trade it for anything....However. I've shot a Summit Sporting and I was really impressed. Better wood and exellent fit and finish. This gun wore 34" barrels and was nicely balanced. Not front heavy. My next O/U will probablly be a CG.
