So who's in?

I am. :)

Any info welcome. How many clicks you guys do on your zeros on the super Elcan etc. Hehe.

Cheers.

Plan on the matches being pretty much carbon copies of last year. I am pretty sure the review is in the fall so 2015 is when changes will show up.
Hopefully they run the range with a small amount of common sense because the matches themselves are pretty good, but locating the ammo point on the 800m mound hurt my brain.

After a briefing from up on high a week ago, it sounds like we're going to see some positive changes this year. Some of it is still in a state of flux, so I won't spill the beans, but it was an encouraging brief for sure.

Here's the schedule and matches.

The way I see it. You will start doing SR matches in week 1 in the morning and the SP matches in the afternoon. I don't see much practice time in there.
Looks packed.

Makes sense. Last year we did pistol in the first week and rifles in the second week. I shot 120 rounds the first week as practice for the C7 ONLY!! because I was in the pistol team and could not attend the rifle practices.

Also most rifle matches are in the morning now. Nice since the wind picks up in the afternoon. More equal for everybody now.

Looks more balanced now.

Wow. No practice round. This doesn't do a lot for our team. We get 3 days practice with half the team in Nanaimo in August. The rest of the team probably won't even have practiced any of the matches when we get to Ottawa.

Practice of the whole matches is overrated. I would rather my guys shoot the legacy matches 1-12 as training over the CAFSAC matches.
At the same time I think the CAFSAC matches are a better test.
I think the morning and afternoon split will help the comp flow just like it did in 07 and 08.
