Im heading out tomorrow deer hunting to I decided to pick up a pair of Caldwell E-Max low profile electronic ear muffs today. I have tinnitus and my ears are very sensitive so no hearing protection is not an option, and I find that normal foam plugs make me oblivious to anything around me in thw woods. I left this to the last minute so had to buy something locally avilable. Anyone have experience with the Caldwell E max? Ive never used electronic hearing protection before and I am concerned about the possibility of malfunction and the gun shots being amplified, or having them lag and not provide any protection or not provide enough low level amplification.
Any thoughts on this? I know theres been alot of hearing protection discussion lately but I need some opinions on this specific set.
Thanks
