430003CF-000A-4492-9DE3-4F44D1051D34.jpgMany years ago I owned a Smith and Wesson model 19, but I sold it about two decades ago and haven’t owned a revolver since…
After much investigation and gathering information, experience and advice from key people here on the forum, I found a BNIB Manurhin MR73 revolver at Calgary Shooting Centre. It’s not often in this day and age when value surpasses price. However, this was my experience.
These fine folks at CSC made my experience completely enjoyable, relaxed, and quite frankly exciting… even though I am thousands of miles away, I did not feel nervous and I just knew that I would be taken care of.
I want to thank Jason, Bruce, Markus and Thuan, each of them going above and beyond the call of duty… I have my new revolver and I’m very very pleased with my decision and also, with Calgary Shooting Center!
You can deal here with confidence and trust, you will be well taken care of.
John, you have a wonderful group of people working for you, treat them well and hang onto them…
Thanks again,
KEITH W

Beautiful piece Keith, glad you took the plunge and bought the 5¼" version. It's also my favorite barrel length for non-heavy barrel version of the MR73. I too dealt with the CSC crew numerous times and was always well taken care of, kudos to the crew for making another happy customer.

Now...Just wait till you shoot it... You'll never miss any of your S&W's again!

In the meantime, here's two of my favorite DA/SA revolvers. To the left, is a Korth Sport/Target in .22lr made by Willi Korth in 1971, next is a Manurhin MR73 5¼" barrel with it's 9mm conversion cylinder.

Hi Jeff, it was in stock, but not showing on their website… It was just a fluke that I called a bunch of places to see who had one…
But I’m telling you, I will buy many more guns from that place, Awesome service!

Congrats! I have the 5 1/4" MR-73 (also from CSC) and love it! Mine came with the Trausch rubber grips but I added a set of Karl Nills (Phil Hemphill model with a slight palm swell)

NICE!

I think I got the last one they had in a Sport model. Next week is range day!

Hey brother, did you get a chance to try it out yet? I have had extreme severe carpal tunnel and have not had a chance to shoot for the last while so I haven’t even fired mine… Just wondering what you think?
Another words, tell me how awesome it is! So I can live vicariously through you…

I also have dealt with the good people of Calgary shooting center, namely for the purchase of a Swiss made Sig P-210 very recently.
These folks are VERY nice to deal with. Like you, I am more than satisfied.

Beautiful bluing on the Manuhrin! The location of your picture looks a bit precarious for a slip, fall and scratch!

I have always wanted to try one out, but never had the chance. I think they made this model with a 3" barrel and fixed sights for the French police, that version would interest me but impossible to get one here now.

Yes, I was a little nervous taking pictures of it sitting on the ledge, I stayed right close ready for disaster, LOL

Sailor, I can see why you would get the wood, that is the same gun ? those rubber ones look kind of cheap ( hate to say it) to me.

No, mine came with just the Trausch grips. They are very comfortable as Backwoods says but don't look particularly high end.

The wood grips in the photo are a Phil Hemphill model by Karl Nills that I ordered from a US dealer.

Yes, same gun

Grips 4 U ? I got a set for a HK P7 and they are top of the line, same as Nills.

No, although I got a nice set of grips from them for my P-210. The Nills came from a company called MacTec Targeting Solutions. They are shown as the US dealer for Karl Nills if you check the Nills website.
