Question: What was your OLD CGN handle? I was not always tacticalteacher, you know. :cool:
Answer: hungry (low caps, no spaces) that way I cannot screw things up

Somewhere in the EMT, remind me of your CGN handle AND which clinic it's for (PR or CQB or M14 or pistol or carbine)

Short Term ATT Arrangements for TSE

Things are different for us Ontario ATT procedures. I believe you guys have to arrange your own Short Term ATT to bring your restricted firearms to TSE.

What is involved:

* Safety (first and foremost)
* Basic carbine handling
* Basic positioning
* Elementary drills
* Snap shooting (timed exposures)
* Rapid fire shooting (timed exposures)
* Magazine changes
* Gear selection, organization, manipulation, evolution
* Various position shooting
* Introduction to Service CQB Course of Fire from the www.ontariorifleassociation.ca matches held at Langemark Range , Base Borden, ON.

Things to bring for Day Clinic:

* Proven, tested , reliable carbine (AR carbines rock at this game)
* Non-restricted carbines are welcome! :)
* 5 magazines minimum (I will teach you how to test and evolve them for competition)
* Tac vest, chest rig, or plate carrier with magazine pouches (we will discuss their pros and cons)
* Single point sling (Vickers, Blue Force Gear, Magpul MSx series)
* Hopefully you have a single point sling adapter plate on your carbine
* electronic ear defenders are recommended
* Personal range bag to hold your necessary range gear
* Spare ear defenders
* Ballistic glasses are recommended
* notebook, pens, digital camera
* lubricant (oil, CLP, lube), grease?
* Snacks, drinks
* 300 rounds of reliable and safe rifle ammunition. NO Steel core (must pass the magnet test if in doubt)
* screwdriver set, basic tools to strip / assemble your carbine (if necessary)
* a rag or two for wiping down you carbine in between shooting relays

Questions?

Bring them on! I specialize in newbies! :evil:

Get ready for tomorrow. Lots of food and drink because it's gonna be more intense than the pistol clinic of today. This is my baby! Well, the carbine clinic portion since the CFB Petawawa Gun Club dudes know about my carbine input/clinics/drills! :wave:

Time to do some dishwashing at my hosts' house! :wave:

One more SLEEP! :)

Should we bring 600 rounds??? ;)

I think you should bring it but leave half in your vehicle. Then by lunch you will have a very clear idea of the afternoon round count. You see when we have a really motivated group that has no safety issues we can get moving. As your RSO I have to be responsible for everyone's safety. When I am blessed with a fabulous group like today's pistol shooters at my class, then we really roll through the drills and keep on learning. What great students I had today. :)

I am most grateful for all your support to make today's pistol clinic so epic. :cool:

Tomorrow is a new day and let's see the fun we are gonna have. Time to elevate your game!

Cheers, Barney.

Another great day of training with hungry. All the principals of pistol transition to carbine very well.
A great group of shooters took part today with all levels of experience & by the end of the day everyone was running and gunning better than when they walked in.
thank you so much for bringing this training to southern Alberta Barney. I can hardly wait until next time. I certainly know what I need to be working on.
Cheers to everybody who made for a great couple of days of training.

Thanks Barney!!! It was awesome!

Some action

Not all guns are black. No kitties were harmed during course of fire.

Had a great time at both Pistol and Carbine clinics, learnt a lot, especially how to continue to drill and get better outside of these classes. Highly Recommended to anyone considering any of the other upcoming clinics!

Thanks Barney
