Hey guys I thought I would be shooting more clays but didnt end up doing so. I was wondering what a ball park figure to sell this Browning Lightning would be. It has a couple minor safe kisses and a bit of blue wear due to its age but no rust and it is a fixed choke. There is no case included but there the original manual. The bore is bright and shiny and the engraving is incredible! Any help would be greatly appreciated. If I left out any other information I will fill you in after it has been brought up

Looks to be a Superposed set up for Trap. I say if the action is tight it could be worth $1,000 or more. What is the barrel length?

I don't think it's a factory set up adjustable stock... at least I don't see anything like it in schwing's book.... perhaps other's could chime in on that.... as to the engraving, is it engraved with the engraver's name? That has an influence on value as well. Post a partial serial number, or pm it to me and I will gladly tell you what I can find out in schwing's book.

It is a Superposed, the serial number is 44**7S5 weird to see a letter in it... the action is tight the wooden forend has a little bit of wobble and the barrel length is 30" I could not find an engravers name but all it says on it is "Browning Arms Company St Louis Mo & Montral P.Q Made In Belgium"

Here is a picture of the engraving, I do not know if it is anything out of the norm or not.

To start it is a grade 1 Superposed, made in 1965. Flat knob, can't see if it is long or short tang. Long Tang Round Knob is most desirable to collectors. You describe it as a " Lightning", is it so marked across the bottom of the receiver ?
No collector would consider it as a collectable Super due to the modification to the butt. It's value is only as a shooter and a selling price is dependent upon the choking, bbl length, bluing loss/wood condition. Top lever position when closed, center bead (likely target model) ? 3" chambers ( field model) ?
Ballpark $ 600 to $ 1,000 depending on above variables.
