calling Winnipeg IPSC shooters

Hi folks, I'm currently on course with the military and enjoying my first Prairie winter ;)
I'd like to know if there are any MB IPSC shooters that would be interested in helping me out. I'd like to shoot a match with you good folks but all my IPSC gear and kit are at home in NS since I'm only here on TD for about 3 months or so. I would gratefully reimburse folks for the use of the gear and ammo if anyone would be so kind to offer loaner gear. I've had a look at IPSC MB website and see there's a match upcoming in Winnipeg on 13 March. I primary shoot production, but wouldn't mind shooting any division depending on the loan of gun & gear. If anyone feels the need for peace of mind, I'm sure there are many shooters who can/will vouch for me including Sean at Freedom Ventures, Slavex, etc.
Looking forward to hearing back and getting out to have some fun :)

You should post this on MB website....I would but I really don't even have my new gun yet...So I pretty much don't have a competition pistol..I'm at 17 wing....
 
You might want to go the Firing Line on a Wednesday night. Some of the guys go there to practice around 7:00. Stopping in to say hi might go a long way.

I do have a spare gun and gear that could get you shooting but the not knowing you thing is just a little uncomfortable at this point...

Thanks for the reply :) The chances of me getting into the city on a weeknight are slim to none :( I'm about an hour away from Winnipeg.
As for the not knowing me, I mentioned that Slavex and or Sean from freedom ventures will vouch for me as will many others. I've also met and shot with Rene Santos way back in 2002 at the Nationals in Halifax but he may not remember me ;)
Dansy knows me as well, but he may simply not know my CGN name ;)

Army... nope, I'm at Southport on TD and posted with a few of your old friends at 404 ;)
 
We have (or had) a guy who was training at SouthPort shooting IPSC with us. Can't remember his name at the moment though.

Knowing Dansy doesn't help your case at all... kidding Dansy. :D
Don't rule me out for a gun loaner but I'm not actually sure I'll be at the March match.
 
Well at least 2 guy's fit this profile.....were you at the rescue center then? Or you were thinking of getting in?

404 is a distant memory most of the friends I have are long gone to 405 :) or retired LOL

Oh and I don't know how is this Toxic guy....... :))
 
someone loan this guy a gun or two....he is a good guy and a very good shooter! Don't let his association with IPSC1 deter you! LOL

Bit of an update, I've got my belt and mag pouches out here with me now, as well as my shooting glasses. So now I'm down to needing to borrow gun, mags, ammo, & holster which Raks has kindly offered to loan me so I can shoot the match on the 13th. Thanks everyone, much appreciated :)

Great news. Hope you guys have a great match.

If you beat Raks with his own gun do let us know. He doesn't get beat all that often... :D

Hopefully I will have my new gun before that so I can shoot that match :)
 
I would like to thank all the great guys I met at the match today for your hospitality. I had a great time shooting today with a great bunch. Thanks again Raks for engineering a great match as well as the loan of the gun, gear, and ammo it was much appreciated. Hope to see you all on the range again :)

Seriously though, thanks for coming out! If you're ever back in Manitoba please make sure to check the match calendar.
