Cam Pro .45 230 grain Hollow Points

I thought I would try some new bullets for reloading .45. Has anyone tried the 230 Cam Pro hollow points. I bought 1000 and reloaded a small batch to try but haven't made it out yet. Just wondering if anyone has anything positive or negative to say about these. They were only $8 more per thousand than the regular 230 grain ball ammo I usually use.

I haven't come across any, so Ive never used them.
But for only 8 bucks more, I am going to try them.
Where did you pick them up?
 
If you ever have a chance to pick up Zero brand compare them to the Cam-Pro and you'll be surprised by the difference in consistency between a jacketed bullet and a plated one.

Zero also had its problems in the past but their recent bullets are very consistent.
I had several batches of Cam-Pro that had 0.020" difference from longest to shortest in one batch.

I was offered a replacement batch but since I had already sorted them out by length I declined.

I have heard great things about the Zero brand. I have reloaded a lot of jacket bullets but not Zero. I have around 400 S&B jacketed in 9mm and .45 left from 1200 that I bought recently. Didn't notice much difference between those and plated but that could just be due to the brand.
 
Shot a little over a hundred last night divided between my Kimber Desert Warrior and Kimber Pro Carry. Accurate and no malfunctions. Too bad I didn't reload more but didn't want to chance an issue with OAL or the load. Used 4.5gr WST with OAL of 1.20. Going to stick with it.

Yup, as long as I can get my hands on Zero, I will never come back to Cam-Pro.
