I usually get the 124 grain Cam Pro bullets to reload my 9 mm but the last order I placed I ended up getting the 121 grain bullet by mistake.
I will use them but I was wondering what the reason was for Cam Pro making the 121 grain bullets, I am guessing that it might have to do with IPSC and power factor but just wanted to see if anyone knew what the actual reason was.

They were developed for IPSC as the lightest bullet weight you can use is 120 grain. Open shooters are generally looking for the lightest bullet to use more powder, producing more gas for the comp.

One variety of the Campro 121 has a hollowed out base, almost like a baby wadcutter design. Also I heard they have thicker plating to better survive the high pressures and velocity from open division pistols and major 9mm loading.
