Just looking for recommendations on clubs in the Cambridge Kitchener London area.

I just completed my CFSC and am waiting on my PAL thought this would be a good time to look into a few clubs.

I live in Cambridge but I don't mind driving for a few minutes. I would prefer a place that has a rifle range and not just clays as I will likely end up with both. I have shot exaclty 1 round of trap ever and that was years ago but i think it is something that i could get into. So I am hoping to find some place i can try it out.

Thanks for any advice or recommendations

Charles

Welcome fellow Cambridger! Galt Sportsman's Club is a terrific club - skeet, trap, 5 stand, sporting clays too! The only downside is the rifle section is currently full but if you become a member and put your name on the waiting list, might not be long before you can shoot rifle there. Prospective members are welcome on Sundays and Wednesday evenings so if you ever want to come out and shoot a round of trap or skeet and see the place send me a pm. I am a newbie at trap and skeet as well but the more I try it, the more fun I have!

Welcome to the board!

Bridgeport Rod and Gun has Skeet, Trap and a pistol/rifle range. I am new to the sport as well, and the guys out at the trap and skeet are a great group! The club membership rates are very affordable. Trap and skeet meet at the club on Sundays (Fall/Winter Schedule) around noon. Come on out and check it out - you won't be disappointed! I believe club meetings are the first Tuesday of every month (tomorrow) in the main building.

+1 for Bridgeport. Very welcoming atmosphere to newbies. People are willing to show you the ropes, and many will lend you a gun if you don't come equipped. Sundays, 1pm onwards. No membership is required for Trap. If you do ultimately want to shoot rifle, you'll need a membership, but there's room, and the costs are a little lower than Galt.
Galt is beautiful. Great facilities, but costly. Just putting all the info out there.

I've been out trap shooting at Bridgeport and the people I met there were very nice. Plus you can't beat their membership prices...very reasonable.
